THE COMPLETE DOORSET

MORE THAN HANGING A DOOR.

A fire door installation concerns the complete doorset or assembly: the leaf, frame, fixings, seals, glazing where present and operating hardware. We work to the agreed specification and relevant manufacturer’s installation information. The appropriate rating and door requirements should be established for the building before installation.

SPECIFIED FOR THE JOB

FD30. FD60. THE RIGHT COMPONENTS.

FD30 and FD60 installations are available where specified. Suitability depends on the whole assembly and its supporting evidence, not the door leaf alone.

01

Single & double doorsets

Single and double arrangements considered with the required dimensions, meeting edges, hardware and intended use.

02

Frames & fixings

Suitable frames, sound fixing positions and the frame-to-wall interface considered as part of the installation.

03

Ironmongery & closers

Compatible hinges, handles, locks, latches and door closers selected against the specified door system.

04

Seals & protection

Intumescent and smoke seals, and intumescent hardware protection where specified, installed in the correct locations.

SUPPLY & FIT

FROM SPECIFICATION TO INSTALLATION.

We can coordinate supply and fitting, or discuss fitting doors and components you already have. Before work begins, we review available product information and compatibility. If the specification or supporting information is unclear, we raise it before proceeding.

THE DETAILS MATTER

A DOOR IS ONLY PART OF THE STORY.

The leaf, frame, seals and ironmongery need to work together. Careful carpentry and attention to the specified components make the difference.

01

Gaps & alignment

A consistent fit, sound frame and clearances checked against the relevant doorset information.

02

Hinges & protection

Suitable hinges, fixings and intumescent protection where required by the specification.

03

Closing & latching

Compatible closers, seals and latches checked together for reliable general operation.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

Can you install FD30 and FD60 doors?

Yes, where specified and suitable for the application. The complete door assembly and its installation details need to match the agreed requirements.

Can you fit a door I have already purchased?

We can discuss this. Please share the product details, certification or supporting documentation, frame information and proposed ironmongery so we can assess suitability.

Will a new leaf fit my existing frame?

That depends on the condition, dimensions and suitability of the frame and the door system’s requirements. A replacement frame may be needed.

What do you need for a quotation?

Your postcode, approximate number of doors, photos and any survey, schedule or specification are a helpful starting point. A site visit may be required.
